The town is well known for the Katy Bike Rental providing bicycles for a leisurely ride on the historic Katy Bike Trail. America’s longest rail to trail cycling trail (225 miles) see limestone cliffs, two Missouri capital cities, winery towns and ragtime history. Enjoy our Midwestern hospitality, the beauty of the Missouri River valley, small villages and comfortable accommodations. The Katy Trail is generally flat and easy to ride. Next door to the bike shop is Robins Nest On The Katy Bike Trail, just one of many delightful shops featuring seasonal home decor and unique gift ideas, and one of the newest residents in town is Crystal Goldkamp, an excellent artist.
One of the attractions dating back to the early 1800's is the Daniel Boone Home & Boonesfield Village , Defiance is a fascinating place to visit.
